The circled rampant Colt trade mark is weak but there. 75 are stamped on the left side of the frame. The original hard rubber grips, correct for this serial number range, are worn consistent with a gun that was used but not abused. 45 Colt stamped on the left side of the barrel nearest the frame. ![]() Although worn, probably from holster wear, portions of the two line Hartford barrel address remain. The loading gate has a bin/assembly number. The serial numbers match on the frame, trigger guard and back strap. The serial number indicates that it was manufactured in 1895. The 45 LC caliber accounted for about 42% (150,683) of the total SAA production.
